Professional Liability Associate Attorney
About The Position
The Newark, New Jersey office of Lewis Brisbois, a full-service AmLaw 100 firm, is seeking an attorney to join its Professional Liability Practice. The practice includes attorneys across the firm’s nationwide offices and represents professionals through direct engagement or retention by their insurance carriers. Those represented include accountants, architects and engineers, attorneys, bankers, computer and media professionals, financial planners, healthcare providers, insurance brokers and agents, school districts and municipalities, property appraisers and inspectors, real estate professionals, and securities brokers. The firm is interested in attorneys with professional liability experience as well as developing attorneys with strong skills in another litigation area, substantive litigation experience, and a demonstrated interest in professional liability law. The position is based in Newark, NJ, and is identified as hybrid.
Requirements
- Strong research and writing skills.
- Two to seven years of experience defending professional liability claims involving Directors & Officers, Legal Malpractice, Errors & Omissions, and Architects & Engineers; the firm is also open to developing attorneys with substantive litigation experience and a demonstrated interest in professional liability law.
- Admission to the New Jersey Bar is required.
