About The Position
SCLHSA is seeking a compassionate and experienced Professional Counselor to provide advanced professional behavioral health services through community programs in South Central Louisiana. The role is based at SCLHSA's Terrebonne Behavioral Health Center in Houma, Louisiana, and may be filled at the Professional Counselor 1, 2, 3, or 4 level depending on the selected candidate's qualifications. The position offers the opportunity to advance within the job series and is a probationary appointment. Starting salary depends on the selected applicant's education and experience.
Requirements
- Possess a current Louisiana license to practice as a Provisional Licensed Professional Counselor (PLPC) or a Provisional Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (PLMFT).
Responsibilities
- Provide advanced clinical services through individual, family, and/or group counseling to a complex caseload of behavioral health clients.
- Prepare person-centered plans for clients based on recommended levels of care.
- Provide written and verbal consultation to other agencies.
- Assist the clinic manager in designing and implementing programs that address community needs.
