About The Position
South Central Louisiana Human Services Authority (SCLHSA) is seeking a compassionate and experienced Professional Counselor 4 to provide advanced, professional behavioral health services within community programs. The role is based at SCLHSA's Behavioral Health Crisis Center in Thibodaux, Louisiana, and involves working with a complex caseload of behavioral health clients. This leadership-level position contributes to programs intended to improve quality of life through education, prevention, intervention, and treatment. The appointment is probationary. Starting salary depends on the selected applicant's education and experience.
Requirements
- Hold a current Louisiana license to practice as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
- Have two years of licensed counseling experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide advanced individual, family, and/or group counseling to a complex caseload of behavioral health clients.
- Prepare person-centered plans for clients based on recommended levels of care.
- Provide written and verbal consultation to other agencies.
- Assist the clinic manager in designing and implementing programs that address community needs.
