About The Position

Northeast Delta Human Services Authority (NEDHSA) is seeking a Professional Counselor 4 to provide intensive developmental and therapeutic assessment and treatment in serious or complicated cases requiring a range of therapeutic and intervention skills. The counselor works as part of a treatment team to provide quality care and help reduce stigma surrounding mental health and substance use treatment.

The role plans, prioritizes, and manages clinical treatment services for complex behavioral health cases, completes required assessments and records, attends training, and provides backup support to clinic staff as needed. The position is located at the Monroe Integrated Care Clinic. The job posting states that clinicians at NHSC-approved sites may apply to the NHSC Loan Repayment Program; eligible clinicians completing two years of full-time clinical practice may receive up to $50,000 toward student loans, subject to program requirements.

Requirements

• Hold a current Louisiana license to practice as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
• Have at least two years of licensed counseling experience.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prioritize, and manage clinical treatment services for complex behavioral health cases.
• Complete initial biopsychosocial assessments, annual reassessments, ASIs, and assigned screening tools in accordance with NEDHSA policy.
• Attend staff in-service training and complete required training in a timely manner.
• Assist with collecting TOMS and QOC surveys, as assigned.
• Complete written and electronic records with concurrent documentation.
• Serve as backup to treatment, medical, and support staff at NEDHSA clinics as needed.
• Perform additional duties assigned by the supervisor and/or appointing authority.
