About The Position

The Civil Law Section of the Faculty of Law is seeking to recruit part-time professors who are distinguished by their expertise and play a leading role in the legal profession. This posting is for the course DRC3501/4796, Private International Law, for the Fall 2026 semester. The course is scheduled for Thursdays from 8:30 AM to 11:30 AM and has an expected enrollment of 80 students. The position is for a Regular Part-Time Professor.

Requirements

  • Hold an LL.L. or LL.B. (or equivalent).
  • Be a member in good standing of the Barreau du Québec, the bar of another province, or the Chambre des notaires du Québec.
  • Have significant and relevant work experience in negotiation and in representing clients before judicial and/or administrative decision-making bodies.

Nice To Haves

  • University teaching experience in a law faculty is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Teach the course DROIT INTERNATIONAL PRIVÉ (DRC3501/4796).
  • Provide instruction in French.
  • Potentially represent clients before judicial and/or administrative decision-making bodies.
  • Engage in significant and relevant work experience in negotiation.
