The Civil Law Section of the Faculty of Law is seeking to recruit part-time professors who are distinguished by their expertise and play a leading role in the legal profession. This specific course, 'Droit de la preuve civile' (Civil Procedure Evidence Law), will cover the rules governing the proof of 'material' facts in civil matters (as opposed to criminal or administrative matters). It will delve into the fundamental principles of civil judicial law, including the object of proof, burdens and standards, the nature and probative value of different means of proof (testimony, admission, presumptions, material evidence, writings), technological evidence, and the admissibility of evidence (limits on testimony, hearsay, etc.). The course is a lecture-based format with an expected enrollment of 80 students and is worth 3 credits.
