About The Position

The Faculty of Law, Civil Law Section, is seeking to recruit a Regular Part-Time Professor to teach the course DCC2303, Section AA00, Legal Aspects of Human Rights, for the Fall 2026 academic period. This course will cover the historical origins of international human rights law and present international law as a legal system with its own rules, principles, research tools, and methodologies. The course will be delivered asynchronously and virtually.

Requirements

  • Hold an LL.L. or an LL.B. (or equivalent).
  • Be a member in good standing of the Barreau du Québec, the bar of another province, or the Chambre des notaires du Québec.
  • Have significant and relevant professional experience in the field covered by the course and/or hold a graduate degree in that field and/or have contributed to research through academic publications demonstrating recognized expertise in that field.

Nice To Haves

  • University level teaching experience in a faculty of law is considered an asset.
  • Competence in a second language (passive).
