About The Position

This course is part of the graduate programs in health professions education, jointly offered by the Faculty of Medicine and the Faculty of Education. The course focuses on the study of approaches, methods, and steps in health professions education research. It examines the complementarity of various research types in the context of health professions pedagogy and education. This course is offered entirely online, synchronously.

Requirements

Doctoral degree in education, health sciences, or a related field.
Solid knowledge of research methodology, including qualitative and quantitative approaches.
In-depth understanding of the epistemological foundations of research in health professions education.
Good understanding of issues related to research in health sciences pedagogy and their impact on learners, teachers, and the post-secondary professional training system.
Experience in online teaching to clinicians, ideally in an interprofessional health context.
Experience in teaching and evaluating written assignments, with the ability to provide formative feedback.
Excellent command of French (spoken and written).
Ability to correct language in student assignments.
Proficiency in technological tools necessary for online teaching, including BrightSpace, Zoom, and Zotero.

Experience in an interprofessional health context.

Responsibilities

Teach the course "Méthodologie de la recherche en enseignement en santé" (MED6537).
Provide instruction in research methodologies, including qualitative and quantitative approaches, within the context of health professions education.
Examine the complementarity of various research types in health professions pedagogy and education.
Deliver the course entirely online, synchronously.
Teach online courses to clinicians, ideally in an interprofessional health context.
Teach and evaluate written assignments.
Provide formative feedback on student work.
Correct the language in student assignments.
Utilize technological tools necessary for online teaching, including BrightSpace, Zoom, and Zotero.
