About The Position

This position is for a Regular Part-Time Professor to teach FLS 2581 E00, an oral and written comprehension course in French as a second language, associated with CMN 1548. The course is designed for non-francophone students and aims to develop their second language comprehension skills (listening and reading) while helping them assimilate the subject matter of the discipline. The professor will also be required to follow the CMN 1548 course. The course will be delivered in person.

Requirements

Master's degree in Didactics of French as a Second Language or a relevant field for teaching French as a Second Language.
Two years of experience teaching French as a Second Language at the university level, or equivalent.
Familiarity with relevant software and technology for teaching French as a Second Language courses.
Knowledge of immersion pedagogy demonstrated by CV.
Any professor who taught an FLS/ESL course at OLBI before January 1, 2018, is considered to meet the educational requirement.
An acceptable level of education and/or experience could be viewed as being equivalent to the educational required and/or demonstrated experience.

Responsibilities

Teach FLS 2581 E00, focusing on oral and written comprehension in French as a second language.
Develop students' second language comprehension skills (listening and reading).
Assist students in assimilating the subject matter of the associated discipline (CMN 1548).
Follow the CMN 1548 course.
Deliver the course in person.
