About The Position
This is a new position for the Fall 2026 semester in the Faculty of Arts, Official Languages and Bilingualism Institute (OLBI). The course is FLS2751, Discutons en français, which focuses on the study and practice of oral communication in familiar and semi-formal language registers. It involves expressing opinions and feelings, observing and imitating various models, guided conversations (spontaneous and prepared), discussions, and in-class and laboratory exercises. The course is hybrid and scheduled for Mondays from 8:30 AM to 10:00 AM and Thursdays from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM. The position is limited to a Regular Part-Time Professor.
Requirements
- Master's degree in French as a Second Language didactics or a relevant field for teaching French as a Second Language.
- Two years of experience teaching FLS at the university level, or equivalent.
- Familiarity with software and technology relevant to teaching French as a Second Language courses.
- Any professor who taught an FLS/ESL course at OLBI before January 1, 2018, is considered to meet the educational requirement.
Responsibilities

- Facilitate expression of opinions and feelings.
- Guide observation and imitation of various models.
- Lead directed conversations (spontaneous and prepared) and discussions.
