About The Position
The Official Languages and Bilingualism Institute (OLBI) at the Faculty of Arts is seeking a Regular Part-Time Professor for the course FLS2500, Section B00, during the Fall 2026 semester. This course focuses on developing effective and autonomous second language learning strategies, exploring and optimizing learner resources, and planning a major French as a Second Language (FLS) portfolio. The position is limited to regular part-time professors.
Requirements
- Master's degree in French as a Second Language Didactics or a related field relevant to teaching French as a Second Language.
- Two years of experience teaching FLS at the university level, or equivalent.
- Familiarity with relevant software and technology for teaching French as a Second Language courses.
- Knowledge of teaching and learning strategies and familiarity with language portfolios, as demonstrated by the CV.
- Any professor who taught an FLS/ESL course at OLBI before January 1, 2018, is considered to meet the educational requirement.
Responsibilities
- Teach the course FLS2500, Section B00, focusing on developing effective and autonomous second language learning strategies.
- Guide students in discovering and optimizing the use of resources available to them.
- Assist students in planning their major FLS portfolio.
- Conduct in-person classes according to the specified schedule.
