About The Position

The Official Languages and Bilingualism Institute (OLBI) at the Faculty of Arts is seeking a Regular Part-Time Professor for the course 'Communication orale et écrite en français – Intermédiaire I' (FLS2511, Section B00) during the Fall 2026 semester. This course focuses on reviewing and expanding strategies for oral and written comprehension, practicing oral expression through free conversations and short presentations, and practicing written expression with simple sentences and paragraphs. It also involves systematizing linguistic code knowledge and individual practice. The course is taught in French and is an in-person class.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Didactics of French as a Second Language or a relevant field for teaching French as a Second Language.
  • Two years of experience teaching French as a Second Language at the university level, or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with relevant software and technology for teaching French as a Second Language.
  • Any professor who taught an FLS/ESL course at OLBI before January 1, 2018, is considered to meet the educational requirement.

Responsibilities

  • Teach 'Communication orale et écrite en français – Intermédiaire I' (FLS2511, Section B00).
  • Conduct oral expression practice, including free conversations and short presentations.
  • Conduct written expression practice focusing on simple sentences and paragraphs.
  • Systematize linguistic code knowledge.
