About The Position

The Official Languages and Bilingualism Institute (OLBI) at the Faculty of Arts is seeking a Regular Part-Time Professor for the course FLS2771, Section B00, titled 'Grammaire en contexte : interactions orales et écrites'. This course involves a systematic study of grammatical concepts through task-based activities for both oral and written communication. It covers types and forms of simple and complex sentences, consolidation of grammatical categories, syntactic analysis, and conjugation study. The course is scheduled for Mondays from 14:30 to 16:00 and Thursdays from 16:00 to 17:30, and will be delivered in person. The expected enrollment is 30 students, and the course is worth 3 credits. The academic period is the Fall 2026 semester.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in French as a Second Language didactics or a relevant field for teaching French as a Second Language.
  • Two years of experience teaching French as a Second Language at the university level, or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with software and technology relevant to teaching French as a Second Language courses.
  • Knowledge of French as a Second Language grammar pedagogy demonstrated by CV.
  • Any professor who taught an FLS/ESL course at OLBI before January 1, 2018, is considered to meet the diploma requirement.
  • An acceptable level of education and/or experience could be viewed as being equivalent to the educational required and/or demonstrated experience.
