About The Position

The Production Worker assists with production tasks, maintains a clean work environment, and helps ensure production processes run smoothly. The role supports the production team by handling materials, operating basic machinery, and performing general labor duties. Duties include product inspection, packaging, inventory assistance, and following quality and safety standards. The schedule is at least eight hours per day, with shifts potentially lasting 10–12 hours depending on business demands. Monday through Wednesday shifts begin at 3:30 p.m. and run until completion; Thursday and Friday shifts begin at 3:00 p.m. and run until completion.

Requirements

Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
Good physical stamina and ability to lift and move materials weighing more than 50 pounds.
Basic math and measurement skills.
Ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

Perform production tasks according to instructions and standards.
Inspect products and materials for defects and ensure they meet quality standards.
Follow quality-control procedures and report deviations to the supervisor.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, including sweeping, cleaning, and removing debris.
Follow safety protocols and guidelines, wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), and participate in safety training.
Work with team members to meet production goals; communicate issues or concerns to the supervisor and collaborate on solutions.
Assist with bi-annual plant inventories.
Package products according to company standards and customer requirements.
Operate packaging machinery and equipment safely and correctly.
Inspect products before packaging to ensure they meet quality standards.
Help manage packaging-material inventory and keep supplies stocked and organized.
Use the weigh table correctly.
Perform other duties as assigned.
