About The Position

The Production Worker prepares finished products for shipment by installing the correct hardware, applying labels according to customer specifications, and packaging products. The role also cleans and prepares fabricated products after welding and before they enter the paint booth. Work includes moving products and parts between production areas, inspecting for defects, and maintaining a clean work area.

Requirements

High school diploma.
Background in manufacturing.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to stand, sit, walk, bend, twist, stoop, pull, push, assemble, and carry for extended periods.
Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds regularly; frequently lift or move up to 50 pounds; and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds with assistance.
Ability to work in a manufacturing environment that may have high noise levels, dust, chemicals, oil, grease, and hot, cold, or humid conditions.

Responsibilities

Unload fabricated products from paint carts.
Install hardware according to build cards, including handles, locks, and wheels.
Apply stickers squarely and neatly.
Box, wrap, and band products onto the proper skid.
Build custom features as required.
Move products to the shipping area.
Use forklifts to move parts as needed.
Move completed welded parts from the welding area to the cleaning area.
Load fabricated products onto paint carts.
Inspect completed work for defects such as deformed edges and marred surfaces, and report defective pieces to the Team Leader.
Prepare products for painting by grinding and scraping away defects.
Wipe down products with a cleaning solution to prepare them for painting.
Move cleaned products to the paint staging area.
Use cranes or forklifts to move parts as needed.
Maintain proper housekeeping in the work area before, during, and after the shift.
Perform other duties as assigned.
