About The Position

Eaton’s ES GEIS BLD division is hiring a Production Worker at its Troy, Illinois location. The position works across manufacturing plant departments including Weld, Paint, Press, Packing, Shipping, Mill, and Layout, performing a variety of manual labor tasks. Some departments are more physically demanding, and the worker should be capable of handling work across all departments on a daily basis. Core hours are Monday through Friday, 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. Overtime may extend beyond these hours and may be mandatory. The hourly rate is $20.45, plus a $0.50-per-hour shift differential. Compensation may vary based on candidate skills, experience, qualifications, market conditions, and business considerations. Benefits are effective on the first day of employment.

Requirements

Must be able to frequently carry 10–34 pounds and occasionally carry 35–100 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Must be able to occasionally carry a 100-pound ladder with assistance.
Must be able to occasionally bend, stoop, squat, and climb heights, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Must be able to frequently crouch, kneel, balance, reach above shoulder level, push, and pull, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Applicants must be within a 50-mile radius of Troy, Illinois, unless they are active-duty military service member candidates.

Responsibilities

Perform packaging and assembly tasks according to production standards.
Set up materials and components according to shop order specifications.
Stack, band, and secure parts for safe handling and transport.
Maintain a clean, organized work area and assist with workstation setup.
Create barcodes and accurately label finished products.
Cut materials using a band saw while following safety procedures.
Handle materials efficiently to support workflow and production needs.
Perform manual labor across plant departments, including Weld, Paint, Press, Packing, Shipping, Mill, and Layout.
