About The Position

American Plastics is seeking a Production Worker/Press Operator for its Findlay, Ohio facility. The company manufactures injection-molded products and describes its workplace as safe, clean, and positive, with opportunities to build a manufacturing career and advance from within.

Production Operators support the production, inspection, and packaging of retail storage and janitorial products. The role includes working scheduled shifts on a fixed 2/2/3 schedule. Available shifts are days, 7 a.m.–7 p.m., and nights, 7 p.m.–7 a.m. Night-shift employees receive a shift differential. The schedule provides a three-day weekend every other week.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Be able to stand for extended periods and bend, push, pull, and lift up to 40 pounds, with team lifting for loads up to 80 pounds.
• Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
• Pass a pre-employment drug screen and authorize a background check.

Responsibilities

• Run a safe, clean operation that promotes zero accidents.
• Lift and remove parts from the conveyor line.
• Maintain product specifications and pack products according to customer requests.
• Trim, assemble, and pack parts.
• Supply production lines and packing or staging areas with required materials.
• Rotate presses every two to three hours.
• Work all scheduled shifts.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by management.
