About The Position

The Production Technician performs light secondary work on parts, including cleaning, washing, deburring, buffing, TFE, straightening, and simple machining. The role also involves operating machinery according to established processes and procedures, handling and transferring materials, working from blueprints and technical documents, inspecting finished items for quality, and performing preventative equipment maintenance. The technician reports defective material and unusual conditions to a supervisor and follows company policies and standard practices.

Requirements

• High school degree or GED.
• Strong fine motor skills.
• Good math skills.
• Ability to read blueprints.
• Ability to use measuring equipment such as micrometers and calipers.
• At least one year of manufacturing experience and/or training.
• Demonstrated ability and willingness to use AI tools to improve productivity, decision-making, and work quality, and reduce costs; identify appropriate AI use cases and critically evaluate AI-generated outputs.

Responsibilities

• Perform secondary deburring, washing, cleaning, grinding, and straightening of parts.
• Perform drilling, cutting, tapping, buffing, press work, and simple machining.
• Operate machinery according to established processes and procedures, including requirements for soap and detergent usage, coating mixtures, oven temperatures, cure times, and waste cleanup.
• Transfer materials and parts between locations and load parts into machinery properly.
• Work from blueprints and other technical documents.
• Check finished items for quality.
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment, including removing foreign matter.
• Report defective material and unusual conditions or circumstances to a supervisor.
• Follow standard practices and procedures outlined by company policy.
