About The Position
Pyramid Consulting is recruiting a Production Support/Application Support Specialist for a 24-month contract opportunity with long-term potential. The role is based onsite in Jersey City, New Jersey, and supports prime brokerage applications, with a focus on client reporting and dynamic pricing. The specialist monitors production systems, responds to incidents, coordinates with business and technology partners, supports deployments and resiliency exercises, and drives service improvement and automation.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of production support experience, preferably in financial services; prime brokerage experience is preferred.
- Experience with application support or production support, monitoring, and trading or front-office environments.
- Evidence of building strong relationships with development and business partners.
- Evidence of a strong risk culture.
- Knowledge of ITIL Service Operations, including incident, problem, and service request management.
- Experience with alert management and monitoring.
- Evidence of driving continuous service improvement.
- Hands-on technical and analytical ability to solve complex issues.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate effectively with senior management and line-of-business partners.
- Experience with monitoring tools such as Splunk, ITRS Geneos, or Dynatrace.
- Ability to work in a high-pressure, time-sensitive environment.
- Python 3 or shell scripting experience.
- Experience with job scheduling or batch management.
- Good knowledge of the prime brokerage business.
- Familiarity with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles.
- Experience with DevOps practices and automation tools, particularly developing and running automation strategies to improve operational efficiency.

Responsibilities
- Provide first- and second-line support for prime brokerage applications, focusing on client reporting and dynamic pricing.
- Monitor the production environment for system availability and performance; identify and resolve issues in real time.
- Troubleshoot technical and functional issues related to prime brokerage services, coordinating with development and enterprise teams on complex issues.
- Conduct root cause analysis and propose tactical and strategic solutions for recurring production incidents.
- Support deployments, releases, resiliency exercises, and disaster recovery exercises to ensure smooth integration.
- Work with business stakeholders to understand service impact and prioritize resolution efforts.
- Manage, document, and communicate outages to senior business and technology stakeholders, and follow up to prevent recurrence.
- Drive process improvements and plan automation.
- Develop and deliver an automation strategy.
