About The Position

The Production Supervisor is a hands-on, hybrid role overseeing a small production team of fewer than 10 operators while maintaining equipment efficiency. The position balances shift supervision, heavy material handling, and mechanical and electrical troubleshooting. The supervisor helps ensure continuous production-line flow, minimize downtime, and serves as the primary technical liaison with overseas engineering teams. Bilingual English and Korean fluency is required for technical systems and remote communication with engineering teams in Korea.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Bilingual fluency in English and Korean.
• Foundational knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems and ability to diagnose machinery errors.
• Ability or willingness to obtain OSHA-compliant overhead crane and forklift certifications.
• Proven ability to direct, motivate, and maintain accountability within a compact, fast-paced team.

• Experience with steel processing, stamping, or blanking lines.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage daily tasks, attendance, and shift assignments for a team of fewer than 10 operators.
• Enforce OSHA safety protocols, particularly for heavy steel coil and sheet metal handling.
• Work as a cross-trained frontline operator when needed to cover labor gaps and maintain production balance.
• Perform reactive repairs, preventive maintenance, and electrical and mechanical troubleshooting on blanking line equipment.
• Conduct root-cause analysis of equipment failures, replace components, and manage shift spare-parts inventory.
• Coordinate remote-access technical support, software updates, and system troubleshooting with equipment manufacturers and headquarters in Korea.
• Operate, or obtain certification to operate, overhead cranes and forklifts to load steel coils and transport finished blanks safely.
• Monitor and record daily production metrics, downtime, and material inventory levels.
