About The Position

viaPhoton is hiring a Bilingual Production Supervisor to own the day-to-day operations of its production floor and lead a team of skilled technicians. The role coordinates schedules, addresses production problems, leads continuous improvement, and ensures quality products are delivered on time. The position is based in Naperville, Illinois, and works the second shift from 3:30 PM to 1:00 AM.

Requirements

• Proven experience in manufacturing operations management; fiber optics experience is preferred.
• A bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field, or strong vocational or technical education.
• At least 3 years of manufacturing experience with proven leadership ability.
• Self-motivation and careful problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Clear communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to learn new methods quickly and adapt to changing needs on the production floor.
• Bilingual English and Spanish.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in fiber optics.

Responsibilities

• Supervise production schedules and coordinate teams to meet customer orders and delivery deadlines.
• Monitor production processes, identify bottlenecks, and lead improvements to boost efficiency.
• Lead daily production meetings to review goals and performance metrics and address team concerns.
• Develop manufacturing schedules, allocate labor and capital resources, and manage labor expenses.
• Maintain equipment, enforce safety guidelines, and ensure quality standards are met.
• Evaluate employees, manage the labor pool, and create or recommend manufacturing policies and procedures.
