About The Position
The Production Supervisor, Logistics serves as a Highway Equipment Operator for Agribusiness operations. The position performs duties needed to distribute, load, unload, and package milk, meat, special buys, Kosher products, and other items produced by Agribusiness. It promotes agricultural business by delivering these products to Department of Corrections and non-Department of Corrections agencies. The supervisor supports re-entry by supervising and training inmates in the safe operation of commercial equipment as they work toward obtaining a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL). The role also operates road tractors and 53-foot refrigerated trailers to support daily product load-out and loads shipping the following day.
Requirements
- Thorough working knowledge of shipping and receiving procedures.
- Demonstrated ability to supervise others.
- Demonstrated ability to operate a motor vehicle and warehouse equipment.
- Ability to use a computer.
- Good manual dexterity and hand/eye coordination.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), or ability to obtain a Class A CDL within six months of employment; internal training is provided.
- High school graduation or equivalent is listed as an additional consideration.
