About the position
BioSkryb is seeking an Associate Production Scientist to join their venture-backed startup. The individual will be responsible for transitioning new products from R&D to production, building and testing genome amplification kits, optimizing production workflows, and preparing sequencing libraries. They will also be involved in inspecting, testing, and evaluating products, developing procedures and SOPs, maintaining inventory, and analyzing experimental data. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development and manufacturing of novel genome amplification applications in a fast-growing and well-financed company.
Responsibilities
- Transition new products from R&D to Production
- Build and test genome amplification kits using manual and automated equipment
- Assist in optimizing, improving, and scaling production workflows
- Interface with external manufacturing service providers and in-house production procedures
- Prepare sequencing libraries using existing products and custom solutions
- Implement methods to inspect, test, and evaluate products
- Perform detailed inspections of final products to meet industry and company standards
- Develop procedures and SOPs for assay performance optimization
- Maintain inventory of production materials and reorder as needed
- Assist in the development of production KPIs
- Analyze and present experimental data
Requirements
- Experience in manufacturing novel genome amplification applications
- Knowledge of procedures and SOPs for ensuring reproducibility and reliability of production processes
- Ability to perform detailed inspection of final products
- Familiarity with build and test processes for genome amplification kits using manual and automated equipment
- Proficiency in optimizing, improving, and scaling production workflows
- Experience in interfacing with external manufacturing service providers
- Ability to prepare sequencing libraries using existing products and custom solutions
- Knowledge of methods for inspecting, testing, and evaluating products
- Understanding of industry and company standards for final product quality
- Ability to maintain inventory of production materials and reorder as needed
- Familiarity with developing production KPIs and analyzing experimental data
