About the position
Bioskyrb Genomics is seeking an experienced Product Manager to join their fast-growing company. The Product Manager will be responsible for managing the product lifecycle, developing product roadmaps, and working closely with stakeholders to define product features and performance metrics. They will also be involved in market intelligence gathering, drafting technical product documents, and determining product pricing. The Product Manager will play a crucial role in driving product development initiatives and ensuring the success of the company's advanced technology products in the biotechnology industry.
Responsibilities
- Manage the product lifecycle from conceptualization through commercial release
- Develop product roadmaps with milestones and deliverables
- Work closely with product stakeholders to define product features and performance metrics to ensure products meet customer expectations
- Work with the product marketing manager on surveillance for new product opportunities
- Maintain a constant review process to evaluate opportunities for product enhancements and cost reduction strategies
- Own the new product initiation and feasibility study process
- Manage product plans and drive the stage gate process for product development and commercial release
- Draft technical product documents, such as user guides and technical notes
- Define product key features and work with sales and marketing to draft corresponding messaging
- Direct a cross-function team including R&D, sales, marketing, and support teams focused on product success
- Determine product pricing based on market research, production costs, and anticipated demand
- Work closely with project management and new product development to meet timelines and product goals
- Conduct competitive analysis and help gather market intelligence
Requirements
- Experience in product management and product development
- Knowledge of the biotechnology industry and next-generation sequencing (NGS) workflows
- Ability to develop product roadmaps and define product features and performance metrics
- Strong analytical and market research skills
- Experience in conducting competitive analysis
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
- Strong project management skills and ability to meet timelines and product goals
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Familiarity with technical product documentation and drafting user guides
- Understanding of pricing strategies based on market research and production costs
