Quality Control Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Quality Control Specialist to join our venture-backed startup, Bioskryb. As a Quality Control Specialist, you will play a crucial role in implementing quality systems for the design and manufacture of novel genome amplification applications. Your responsibilities will include ensuring compliance with quality standards, conducting regular quality check tests, identifying areas for improvement, and collaborating with internal teams to improve product quality. • Application, verification, and compliance of applicable production, company, and quality standards and specifications
• Creation of templates and documentation for quality assurance checks and verification
• Completion and maintenance of inspection reports
• Development, implementation, and audit of quality standards and quality control systems
• Investigation of production and/or product issues and implementation of corrective measures
• Performance of regular quality check tests for early identification of potential issues
• Evaluation of data and drafting reports, noting any relevant deviations from existing standards
• Identification of areas for quality control improvement and implementation of new methods
• Maintenance and calibration of quality control and production equipment
• Recording of detailed reports on corrective actions for technical and production cycle issues
• Ensuring compliance with quality specifications through inspection and testing
• Design and implementation of testing plans for products and incoming materials
• Collaboration with managers, suppliers, and other personnel to meet organizational quality standards
• Coordination with internal teams to improve product quality and meet end-user expectations
• Work in coordination with production specialists and other team members
• Gather relevant data for submission to quality management and communication of quality or compliance concerns
• Monitor efforts to resolve product issues and track progress
• Ability to use mathematical techniques for data analysis to modify production processes and improve quality
• Proficiency with quality management and word processing software for report generation and analysis
• Creative problem-solving skills to ensure customer satisfaction and achieve business success

• Knowledge of technical documentation, testing methodologies, and quality management systems
• Solid understanding of test equipment
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds occasionally
• Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision
