About The Position
The Production Sanitizer is responsible for sanitizing equipment in a designated work area. The role cleans processing and manufacturing equipment, prepares sanitation chemicals and equipment, and sets up equipment for use. The position also involves assessing equipment issues, following standard operating procedures, maintaining sanitation supplies, reviewing cleaning data, and communicating with management. The schedule is Monday through Friday, starting at 1 PM and working until complete.
Requirements
- 0–3 years of general work experience.
- Experience working in a food production or manufacturing environment.
- Ability to operate various equipment.
- Ability to read and understand Material Safety Data Sheets.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in physical science and/or food industry experience preferred.
- Forklift certification is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Clean the interior and exterior of processing and manufacturing equipment.
- Prepare sanitation chemicals and equipment.
- Ensure all necessary caps are in their proper locations.
- Set up equipment for use by manually lifting and moving equipment and/or chemicals.
- Assess and rectify problems with equipment.
- Read, understand, and follow standard operating procedures.
- Train new team members.
- Communicate with management daily.
- Create work orders when needed or assigned by a supervisor.
- Maintain sanitation supply inventory.
- Review daily CIP chart data.
