About The Position

The Production Sanitizer is responsible for sanitizing various equipment within a designated work area. The role involves cleaning processing and manufacturing equipment, preparing sanitation chemicals and equipment, inspecting equipment and resolving problems, and supporting safe and orderly sanitation operations. The schedule is Monday through Friday, starting at 5:00 AM and continuing until work is complete. The position is located in Abilene, Texas.

Requirements

0–3 years of general work experience required.
Experience working in a food production or manufacturing environment.
Ability to operate various equipment.
Ability to read and understand Material Safety Data Sheets.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in physical science and/or food industry experience preferred.
Forklift certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

Clean the interior and exterior of processing and manufacturing equipment.
Prepare sanitation chemicals and equipment.
Ensure all necessary caps are in their proper locations.
Set up equipment for use by manually lifting and moving equipment and/or chemicals.
Assess and rectify problems with equipment.
Read, understand, and follow standard operating procedures.
Train new team members.
Communicate with management daily.
Create work orders when needed or assigned by a supervisor.
Maintain sanitation supply inventory.
Review daily CIP chart data.
