Production Recruiter

Anduril•Boston, MA

About The Position

The Production Recruiter owns end-to-end hiring for assigned production teams supporting Anduril’s manufacturing, supply chain, quality, and production operations. The recruiter is embedded with the divisions they support and serves as a trusted advisor to hiring managers in specialized, competitive talent markets, including defense technology. The role operates in a matrixed structure: day-to-day priorities and business context come from a Divisional Production Recruiting Lead, while a Functional Manager supports long-term skill development and career growth. The work focuses on production talent markets where candidates may be employed at defense primes, work in cleared facilities, and make career decisions based on mission impact, site location, shift flexibility, and program stability. Success requires tailored sourcing strategies, understanding of production organizations, and the ability to communicate the value of a high-growth defense technology environment. The position may be filled at IC3 (Recruiter) or IC4 (Senior Recruiter) level. The stated US salary range is $147,000–$196,000 USD, base salary only. Equity grants are included in the majority of full-time offers. Anduril states that it offers competitive benefits to full-time employees, available at little to no cost, but does not specify individual benefits in this posting.

Requirements

  • IC3 (Recruiter): 5 or more years of full-cycle recruiting experience in a fast-paced environment, with meaningful exposure to production, manufacturing, or operations hiring.
  • IC4 (Senior Recruiter): 8 or more years of full-cycle recruiting experience, with demonstrated ability to independently manage complex production leadership searches and mentor junior team members.
  • Proven experience sourcing and closing production talent in competitive markets, such as manufacturing engineers, supply chain professionals, quality leaders, or production operations roles.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to build trust with production hiring managers.
  • A data-informed approach and experience using recruiting metrics such as pipeline velocity, conversion rates, source effectiveness, and time-to-fill.
  • Ability to work with urgency and a bias for action in response to production hiring timelines and business milestones.
  • Comfort working across multiple sites and locations and understanding geographically distributed, site-specific talent markets.

Nice To Haves

  • Direct recruiting experience for manufacturing, production operations, supply chain, or quality roles in defense, aerospace, automotive, robotics, or advanced manufacturing.
  • Experience recruiting for roles requiring security clearances and understanding the effect of clearance timelines on candidate availability.
  • Familiarity with production organization structures and title progressions from Technician through VP or Head of Production.
  • Experience recruiting for new site launches, manufacturing ramps, or greenfield production facilities.
  • Passion for the defense technology mission and curiosity about how things are built at scale.
  • Experience in a matrixed or similarly complex organization with dual reporting lines.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and guide hiring managers on recruiting practices, market realities, and talent strategy trade-offs.

Responsibilities

  • Own the full recruiting lifecycle for assigned production roles, from sourcing and screening through offer negotiation and closing, while ensuring a high-quality candidate experience.
  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies tailored to production talent markets, including manufacturing engineering, supply chain, quality, production technician, test engineering, and operations roles.
  • Build candidate pipelines through industry conferences, trade associations, referral networks, SOBO campaigns, competitor mapping, and community-based sourcing for site-specific roles.
  • Manage interviews by conducting initial screens, preparing candidates and interviewers, and facilitating debriefs.
  • Navigate production-specific candidate closing considerations, including relocation, shift schedules, clearance timelines, compensation benchmarking, and career trajectories.
  • Partner with the Divisional Production Recruiting Lead and hiring managers to understand hiring needs, site dynamics, program milestones, and technical expectations.
  • Use data and market insights to guide intake discussions, shape job descriptions, calibrate leveling, and establish realistic hiring timelines.
  • Provide regular, transparent updates on pipeline health, search progress, and potential roadblocks, translating recruiting metrics into production business context.
  • Develop an understanding of production organization structures and how talent moves across manufacturing engineering, operations, supply chain, quality, and production leadership.
  • Share best practices, market intelligence, compensation data, and qualified candidates with recruiting peers across divisions.
  • Work with the Functional Manager to develop production domain expertise, set development goals, and grow within the recruiting specialization.
  • Maintain accurate data in recruiting systems, including ATS and CRM, to support reporting and hiring analytics.
  • Build and maintain market intelligence on production talent, including candidate locations, employers, clearance levels, motivations, and Anduril’s value proposition.
