About The Position

Plans, prepares, issues, and controls production schedules, coordinating material requirements to ensure approved materials flow in a controlled manner and are timed to meet production needs. Advises management on work in progress, material availability, and potential production problems so that personnel, equipment, materials, and services are available as needed. Schedules equipment and personnel, confirms material supply and demand, and prepares work orders or purchase requests for components or parts based on the master production schedule, shop load, and inventory requirements. Coordinates activity across departments such as quality assurance, manufacturing, purchasing, engineering, inventory control, and traffic. Schedules and expedites parts movement using move orders, stock transfers, and shipping-order requests.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree and 0 years of relevant exempt experience; or an accepted equivalent qualification.
Accepted equivalents to a bachelor's degree include: NNS Apprentice School graduate; Navy Nuclear Power School graduate; associate's degree or other formal two-year program plus 2 years of relevant exempt experience or 4 years of relevant non-exempt experience; military experience at paygrade E-5 or above; high school diploma/GED plus 4 years of combined manufacturing, shipbuilding, trades, military, or other relevant exempt experience; or high school diploma/GED plus 8 years of combined manufacturing, shipbuilding, trades, military, or other relevant non-exempt experience.
U.S. citizenship is required for this position.
