About The Position

Plans, prepares, issues, and controls production schedules, coordinating material requirements to ensure approved materials flow in a controlled manner and are timed to meet production requirements. Advises management on work-in-progress status, material availability, and potential production problems to ensure personnel, equipment, materials, and services are provided as needed. Schedules equipment and personnel; confirms material supply and demand; and prepares work orders or purchase requests for producing or purchasing components or parts based on the master production schedule, shop load, and inventory requirements. Coordinates interdepartmental activities with quality assurance, manufacturing, purchasing, engineering, inventory control, and traffic. Schedules and expedites the movement of parts through move orders, stock transfers, and requests for shipping orders.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED and 7 years of experience, or a bachelor's degree or above and 3 years of experience.
For internal candidates only: 18 months of experience as a Surveyor-Outside (P) or 1st Class Journeyman.

Nice To Haves

Shipbuilding experience in pipe, electrical, and machinery is preferred.
