About The Position

Plans, prepares, issues, and controls production schedules, coordinating material requirements to ensure an orderly flow of approved materials timed to meet production needs. Advises management about work-in-progress status, material availability, and potential production problems so personnel, equipment, materials, and services are provided as needed. Schedules equipment and personnel, confirms material supply and demand, and prepares work orders or purchase requests for producing or purchasing components and parts based on the master production schedule, shop load, and inventory requirements. Coordinates activities across quality assurance, manufacturing, purchasing, engineering, inventory control, and traffic. Schedules and expedites parts movement through move orders, stock transfers, and shipping-order requests.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED and 10 years of experience; or a bachelor's degree and 6 years of experience; or a master's degree or above and 4 years of experience.

Nice To Haves

5 years of shipyard experience.
IFS experience.
