About The Position

Plans, prepares, issues, and controls production schedules, coordinating material requirements to ensure an orderly flow of approved materials timed to meet production requirements. Advises management on work-in-progress status, material availability, and potential production problems so personnel, equipment, materials, and services are provided as needed. Schedules equipment and personnel; confirms material supply and demand; and prepares work orders or purchase requests for production or purchase of components or parts based on the master production schedule, shop load, and inventory requirements. Coordinates interdepartmental activity with quality assurance, manufacturing, purchasing, engineering, inventory control, and traffic. Schedules and expedites the movement of parts using move orders, stock transfers, and requests for shipping orders.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED and 10 years of experience; or
Bachelor's degree and 6 years of experience; or
Master's degree or above and 4 years of experience.

Nice To Haves

5 years of shipyard experience.
IFS experience.
