About The Position

American Construction Metals (ACM), a strategic business unit of ABC Supply, produces metal building materials including trim coil, edge metal, gutter systems, and other metal accessories. ACM is seeking machine operators for a manufacturing position. The Production Packer operates manufacturing equipment, handles metal coil, monitors product quality, completes work orders and paperwork, packages products to specifications, and follows safety direction. Associates work in a manufacturing setting and must comply with required personal protective equipment rules.

Requirements

Ability to be cross-trained on multiple machines.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted and up to 100 lbs. with assistance.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, crouch, reach, and lift for a full 8-hour day.
Positive attitude and ability to work as a team player.
Comply with assigned personal protective equipment requirements.

Nice To Haves

Machine operating experience.
Ability to read calipers and tape measures.

Responsibilities

Operate machines and manufacturing equipment.
Cut and feed metal coil into machines.
Monitor product quality.
Fill out and change work orders and other paperwork as needed.
Package product according to specifications.
Train and become certified on various equipment.
Perform all duties safely and as directed.
