First Shift Lead Inspector Packer

About The Position

Alleguard is hiring a First Shift Lead Inspector Packer to distribute labor among repack staff, optimize daily packing, and ensure production numbers are documented correctly. The role is responsible for meeting goals identified by the Manager and overseeing repack and assembly operations. It also provides backup material handling support when needed. The schedule is Monday through Thursday, 5:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.; flexibility is required, including weekends and overtime based on customer demand. Pay is $18.00 per hour.

Responsibilities

Assign and oversee work for staff in the repack and assembly area.
Plan and organize workflow, including people, processes, and physical layout, to support cost-efficient production.
Schedule and prioritize production activities under the direction of the Warehouse Manager.
Develop and maintain a kanban inventory system for critical components.
Maintain security, order, and cleanliness in the area.
Ensure packing reports are completed correctly.
Contribute ideas to meet packing key performance indicators (KPIs).
Ensure finished products meet quality requirements under the Integrated Management System and customer requirements before identification.
Identify material in the finished product area.
Retrieve or deposit materials in drying rooms as required.
Provide backup material handling by moving freight, stock, and other materials to and from storage and production areas, loading docks, delivery vehicles, and containers, by hand or using a manual pallet jack, forklift, or other assigned equipment.
Ensure assigned personnel properly use personal protective equipment (PPE).
Comply with procedures, regulations, and instructions for environmental and safety programs.
Perform other duties as assigned.
