About The Position

American Construction Metals (ACM), a strategic business unit of ABC Supply, produces metal building materials, including trim coil, edge metal, gutter systems, and other metal accessories. ACM is seeking machine operators for a manufacturing position. The role works the second shift, Monday through Friday, from 2:30 p.m. to 11 p.m. Associates work in a manufacturing setting and must follow safety directions and assigned personal protective equipment requirements.

Requirements

Ability to be cross-trained on multiple machines.
Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. is listed as a qualification; the physical-demand section states the associate must lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted and up to 100 lbs. with assistance.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, crouch, reach, and lift for a full 8-hour day.
Comply with assigned personal protective equipment requirements, including safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, and safety shoes.

Responsibilities

Operate machines and manufacturing equipment.
Cut and feed metal coil into machines.
Monitor product quality.
Complete and change work orders and other paperwork as needed.
Package products according to specifications.
Train and become certified on various equipment.
Perform all duties safely and as directed.
