About The Position

The Production Material Staging Technician is responsible for the preparation, setup, and maintenance of accurate inventory and materials required for the production process. This role ensures all components and inventory meet quality standards before and after production. Technician I collaborate with Production, Quality Control, Project Management, and warehouse colleagues for seamless movement of materials to support the production schedule.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in using computers and computer systems (including SAP, Microsoft Office, Teams, Smartsheet).
  • Ability to review documents, such as production schedules and work orders, to determine materials requirements or material priorities.
  • Skill in arranging for delivery, assembly, or distribution of supplies or parts to expedite the flow of materials and meet production schedules.
  • Ability to confer with establishment colleagues, vendors, or customers to coordinate production or shipping activities and to resolve complaints or eliminate delays.
  • Experience in maintaining inventories of materials or supplies necessary to meet production demands.
  • Ability to confer with department supervisors or other colleagues to assess progress and discuss needed changes or solutions.
  • Experience in planning production commitments or timetables for business units, specific programs, or jobs, using Smartsheet.
  • Experience in receiving, storing, and organizing raw materials and components to ensure they are readily available for production.
  • Ability to keep track of inventory levels, conduct regular audits, and coordinate with procurement for reordering supplies as needed.
  • Experience in preparing materials for production runs by staging them in designated areas, ensuring that all necessary components are available and in good condition.
  • Ability to inspect materials for defects and ensure compliance with quality standards before they are released for production.
  • Experience working closely with production teams to understand material needs and timelines, ensuring that staging aligns with production schedules.
  • Adherence to safety protocols while handling materials and using equipment.
  • Ability to maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Experience in maintaining accurate records of material usage, inventory levels, and any discrepancies or issues that arise.
