About The Position

The Production Material Staging Technician prepares, sets up, and maintains accurate inventory and materials needed for production. The role ensures components and inventory meet quality standards before and after production and collaborates with Production, Quality Control, Project Management, and warehouse colleagues to support the seamless movement of materials and the production schedule.

Responsibilities

Enter, transcribe, record, store, and maintain information in written or electronic form.
Develop goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and complete work.
Analyze information and evaluate results to select solutions and solve problems.
Monitor information from materials, events, or the environment to detect or assess problems.
Compile, categorize, calculate, audit, and verify information or data.
Communicate with supervisors and co-workers by telephone, in writing, by email, or in person.
Use computer systems, including SAP, Microsoft Office, Teams, and Smartsheet, to enter data, process information, and distribute production schedules or work orders.
Review production schedules and work orders to determine material requirements and priorities.
Arrange delivery, assembly, or distribution of supplies and parts to support material flow and production schedules.
Coordinate production or shipping activities with colleagues, vendors, or customers and resolve complaints or delays.
Maintain inventories of materials and supplies needed to meet production demands.
Discuss progress, necessary changes, and solutions with department supervisors and colleagues.
Plan production commitments and timetables for business units, programs, or jobs using Smartsheet.
Receive, store, and organize raw materials and components so they are available for production.
Track inventory levels, conduct regular audits, and coordinate with procurement to reorder supplies as needed.
Stage materials in designated areas for production runs and ensure all necessary components are available and in good condition.
Inspect materials for defects and ensure they meet quality standards before release to production.
Work with production teams to understand material needs and timelines and align staging with production schedules.
Follow safety protocols when handling materials and using equipment, and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
Maintain accurate records of material usage, inventory levels, discrepancies, and issues.
