About The Position

The Production Mat Roller Operator works as part of a team in an industrial laundry facility, handling merchandise safely, efficiently, and accurately as it moves into or out of the facility. The role involves rolling mats by machine or by hand on an inverted table, or stacking them on pallets. The operator checks mats for quality, verifies their size, color, and type, and places them on the correct storage shelves. This is a part-time position with a stated schedule of 6 a.m. to 11 a.m., Monday through Thursday, with no weekends. The posting also notes that work may include weekends and overtime as needed.

Requirements

• Ability to understand required training and written and verbal instructions.
• Working knowledge of basic math.
• Good verbal and/or written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to meet the attendance schedule.
• Ability to perform repetitive motions throughout a shift.
• Ability to bend, reach, pull, twist, and lift.
• Ability to use hands for grasping and other manipulations.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods.
• Ability to push carts weighing approximately 300 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Roll mats by machine, by hand on an inverted table, or stack them on pallets.
• Stage cages of mats near the table or place them on a lift table when using the mat-rolling machine.
• Place mats rubber-side up for manual rolling, or operate the machine using its foot pedal.
• Monitor mat quality and identify and segregate mats with stains, gum stains, rips, tears, holes, or dampness.
• Verify mats by size, color, and type, and place them on the correct storage shelves.
• Maneuver full and empty carts.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment and follow production best practices.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
