About The Position

The Mat Roller processes clean mats for load building and delivery to customers. The role may also involve processing products such as mops, shop towels, Facility Services items, and fender covers. The Mat Roller transfers carts of clean mats to the rolling area, unloads and inspects mats, rolls and sorts them, and moves products and carts through production, storage, route-load, and truck-loading areas. The role may require operating a forklift and includes maintaining a neat and clean work area while meeting efficiency and safety standards. This position is performed in the production areas of an industrial laundry facility, around machinery and conditions that may include temperature variations, odors, humidity, lint, and dust. The work involves heavy physical activity throughout the shift, including standing, reaching, walking, pulling, lifting, grasping, pushing, seeing, hearing, reaching overhead, and stooping, with lifting up to 60 pounds. No travel or formal education is required.

Requirements

Recognize colors and sizes, and count and sort accurately.
Inspect and grade products according to standards.
Be able to perform the physical demands of the job throughout the entire shift, including heavy work and lifting up to 60 pounds.
Comprehend and follow directions from supervision.

Responsibilities

Transfer carts of clean mats to the mat rolling area.
Unload carts, inspect mats for quality, and roll mats.
Sort mats and load them into other carts, the load-building area, route loads, storage, or trucks.
Process other products, such as mops, shop towels, fender covers, or Facility Services items, for load building and storage.
Move loaded or empty carts and bins within the production area.
Operate a forklift when necessary.
Meet the efficiency and safety standards for the position.
Comprehend and follow instructions from supervision.
Keep the work area neat and clean.
Perform other tasks and production tasks as required.
