About The Position

The Mat Roller processes clean mats for load building and delivery to customers. The position may also process mops, shop towels, facility services items, or fender covers. The work is performed in production areas of an industrial laundry facility, around machinery and conditions that may include temperature variations, odors, humidity, lint, and dust. The role requires meeting efficiency and safety standards, following supervisors’ instructions, maintaining a neat and clean work area, and performing other production tasks as needed. Travel is not required. Education is not required. Employment is contingent upon successful completion of drug screening.

Requirements

Recognize colors and sizes, and count and sort accurately.
Inspect and grade products according to standards.
Be able to perform the job’s physical demands for the entire shift.
Comprehend and follow directions from supervision.
Complete drug screening successfully as a condition of employment.

Responsibilities

Transfer carts of clean mats to the mat-rolling area.
Unload carts, inspect mats for quality, and roll them.
Sort mats and load them into carts, the load-building area, route loads, storage, or trucks.
Process other products, including mops, shop towels, fender covers, and facility services items, for load building and storage.
Move loaded or empty carts and bins within the production area.
Operate a forklift when necessary.
Continuously meet the position’s efficiency and safety standards.
Comprehend and follow instructions from supervision.
Keep the work area neat and clean.
Perform other tasks and production work as required or needed.
