About The Position

The Mat Roller processes clean mats for load building and delivery to customers. The role may also process mops, shop towels, Facility Services items, and fender covers, and includes other production tasks as required. The position works in the production areas of an industrial laundry facility and requires continuous standing, reaching, walking, pulling, lifting, grasping, pushing, seeing, hearing, overhead reaching, and stooping, including lifting up to 60 pounds throughout the shift.

Requirements

• Recognize colors and sizes, and count and sort accurately.
• Inspect and grade products according to standards.
• Be able to perform the physical demands of the job for the entire shift.
• Understand and follow supervisory direction.

Responsibilities

• Transfer carts of clean mats to the mat-rolling area.
• Unload carts, inspect mats for quality, and roll mats.
• Sort mats and load them into carts, the load-building area, routes, storage, or trucks.
• Process mops, shop towels, fender covers, and Facility Services items for load building and storage.
• Move loaded or empty carts and bins within the production area.
• Operate a forklift when necessary.
• Meet the position's efficiency and safety standards.
• Understand and follow instructions from supervisors.
• Keep the work area neat and clean.
• Perform other production tasks as needed.
