About The Position

Vestis is hiring a part-time production team member to work as part of a team in an industrial laundry facility. The role involves the safe, expeditious, and accurate handling of merchandise into and/or out of the facility, with a focus on rolling and sorting floor mats. No experience is required, and paid training is provided. The listed shift is 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., Monday through Friday. The role is based in a warehouse setting and includes repetitive motions throughout the shift, prolonged standing and walking, and handling carts and mats.

Requirements

• Ability to understand required training and written and verbal instructions.
• Working knowledge of basic math skills.
• Good verbal and/or written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to meet the attendance schedule.
• Ability to perform repetitive motions throughout a shift.
• Ability to bend, reach, pull, twist, and lift; use hands for grasping and other manipulations; and stand and walk for long periods.
• Ability to push carts weighing approximately 300 pounds.
• May be required to work weekends according to the shift schedule.
• Overtime is required as needed.

Responsibilities

• Roll mats by machine, by hand on an inverted table, or by stacking them on a pallet.
• Stage cages of mats near the table or place them on the lift table when using the mat-rolling machine.
• Place mats rubber-side up for manual rolling, or use the machine foot pedal to roll them.
• Monitor mat quality and identify and segregate mats with stains, gum stains, rips, tears, holes, or moisture.
• Verify mats by size, color, and type, and place them on the correct storage shelves.
• Maneuver full and empty carts.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment and follow best practices in production activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
