About The Position

Performs work as part of a team in an industrial laundry facility, safely and accurately handling merchandise into and/or out of the facility. The role includes removing garments from carts or lift tables, folding and stacking them, and checking merchandise for quality issues. Work is performed in a warehouse setting with exposure to outside weather conditions, extreme heat and cold, dust, and noise. The job involves repetitive motions throughout the shift, prolonged standing and walking, and physical tasks including moving items weighing up to 25 lbs.

Requirements

• Ability to understand required training and written and verbal instructions.
• Working knowledge of basic math skills.
• Good verbal and/or written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to meet the attendance schedule.
• Ability to move, lift, carry, push, or pull items weighing up to 25 lbs.
• Ability to perform repetitive motions throughout a shift and to bend, reach, pull, twist, kneel, lift, grasp, and otherwise manipulate items.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods.

Nice To Haves

• High school degree or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Remove coveralls, smocks, and other merchandise from carts or lift tables.
• Manually fold merchandise, stack it into bundles of various sizes, and place bundles on a conveyor.
• Visually identify and segregate merchandise that fails quality standards due to rips, tears, holes, or stains, and report findings to the appropriate person.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment and observe best practices in production activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
