About The Position

The Production Bulk Fold Operator works as part of a team in an industrial laundry facility. The role is responsible for safe, expeditious, and accurate handling of merchandise into and/or out of the facility. Work is performed in a warehouse setting and regularly involves exposure to outside weather conditions, extreme heat and cold, dust, and noise. The position follows a shift schedule that may include weekends, and overtime is required as needed.

The job involves repetitive motions throughout an entire shift and requires bending, reaching, pulling, twisting, lifting, grasping, and other hand manipulations, as well as standing and walking for long periods. Requirements

• Ability to understand required training and written and verbal instructions.
• Working knowledge of basic math skills.
• Good verbal and/or written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to meet the attendance schedule.
• Ability to perform repetitive motions throughout an entire shift, including bending, reaching, pulling, twisting, lifting, grasping, and other hand manipulations.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Stage carts in lift tables, secure the safety chain, and raise the table.
• Fold linen, aprons, towels, table napkins, and/or fender/seat covers.
• Identify and segregate merchandise that does not meet quality standards, including items with rips, tears, holes, or stains.
• Accurately verify merchandise quantities and bundle items by type.
• Place bundles in the correct storage bins, carts, or on shelves.
• Maneuver full and empty baskets.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment and observe best practices in production activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
