About The Position

Performs work as part of a team in an industrial laundry facility. The Production Bulk Fold Operator is responsible for the safe, expeditious, and accurate handling of merchandise into and/or out of the laundry facility. Work is performed in a warehouse setting, with exposure to outside weather conditions, extreme heat and cold, dust, and noise. The role follows a shift schedule that may include weekends, and overtime is required as needed. The position involves repetitive motions throughout the shift, bending, reaching, pulling, twisting, lifting, grasping, and other hand manipulations, as well as standing and walking for long periods. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Requirements

• Ability to understand required training and written and verbal instructions.
• Working knowledge of basic math skills.
• Good verbal and/or written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to meet the attendance schedule.

Nice To Haves

• High school degree or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Stage carts in lift tables, secure safety chains, and raise the tables.
• Fold linen, aprons, towels, table napkins, and/or fender or seat covers.
• Identify and segregate merchandise that does not meet quality standards because of rips, tears, holes, or stains.
• Verify merchandise quantities and bundle items by type accurately.
• Place bundles in the correct storage bins, carts, or on shelves.
• Maneuver full and empty baskets.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment and observe best practices in production activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
