About The Position

OmniSource is seeking a 3rd Shift Production Employee to operate material-handling equipment, process and sort scrap, and support inventory tracking. The role requires safe equipment operation, daily equipment inspections and maintenance, and the ability to work in all types of weather. Employees may be cross-trained on various equipment types and perform other duties as assigned by the Lead or Supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Operate material-handling equipment, including dump trucks, wheel loaders, skid steer loaders, and forklifts, safely and productively.
• Load containers, sort scrap, sample material, and perform other duties as requested by the Lead or Supervisor.
• Inspect equipment before operation and fuel and lubricate it daily.
• Assist the Lead and Supervisor with identifying and tracking inventory upgrades and classification changes to support perpetual inventory goals.
• Cross-train on various equipment types.
• Perform other duties as requested by the Lead and Supervisor.
