About The Position

The Secondary Operations Associate ensures parts are handled, cleaned, inspected, and routed from production to finished-goods inventory, shipping, or post-processing vendors. The role includes visual inspection, washing, drying, preparation, and basic finishing such as deburring. As a final checkpoint before parts are packed or shipped, this position helps maintain Dahlquist Machine’s quality standards and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and perform physically active work throughout the day.
• Comfort working with various cleaning agents, wash equipment, and part-handling tools.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow work instructions.
• Reliable and organized, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Willingness to learn and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or quality-related role.

Responsibilities

• Receive completed parts from production and route them to stock, shipping, or post-processing vendors such as anodizing, plating, or passivation.
• Visually inspect parts for surface defects, burrs, or cleanliness issues before packaging.
• Wash, dry, and prepare parts of various sizes and materials using appropriate cleaning methods.
• Perform light deburring or surface preparation as needed before shipment or outsourcing.
• Maintain accurate records of part movement and ensure parts are correctly labeled and staged.
• Communicate quality concerns or missing documentation to appropriate team members.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Support other departments as needed to meet customer delivery timelines.
