About The Position

This role moves beyond traditional project management into end-to-end product responsibility for finance customers. The Product Team Lead guides the full product lifecycle, from initial concept through launch and beyond, while working closely with international developers. The position combines disciplinary and professional leadership of interdisciplinary engineering teams with strategic and operational delivery of large-scale, agile software projects, including complex banking and neobroker solutions. It also connects business strategy with implementation, coordinates delivery across design, backend, frontend, and mobile disciplines, establishes and steers OKRs, and oversees development under strict regulatory requirements. The role uses agile and hybrid methods and supports organizational change to improve the software development lifecycle.

Requirements

Completed degree in computer science, media informatics, or business informatics.
At least 4 years of professional experience as an IT project manager, including direct customer contact and a focus on finance.
Sound knowledge of securities trading and genuine enthusiasm for modern trading and neobroker platforms.
Strong technical affinity and the ability to discuss technical topics with developers as a peer.
Leadership ability, with a focus on building and empowering teams.
Proactive approach and multi-stakeholder management skills.
Enjoyment of communicating with customers.
Strong sense for design and user interfaces.
Ability to conceptualize frontend and backend systems, including communication through interfaces and APIs.
German proficiency of at least C2, spoken and written.
English proficiency of at least B2, spoken and written.

Responsibilities

Provide professional and disciplinary leadership to interdisciplinary, cross-functional engineering teams of up to 35 experts, including .NET, JavaScript, KMP/CMP, Kotlin, Swift, Product Owners, and QA.
Manage the end-to-end product lifecycle, from initial concept through successful go-live, for large-scale agile software projects.
Lead complex banking and neobroker projects strategically and operationally from end to end, with project volumes exceeding €10 million.
Translate strategic company visions into precise operational implementation and ensure transparent communication among executives, business departments, and development teams.
Coordinate design, backend, frontend, and mobile disciplines to ensure efficient delivery, and establish and manage OKRs.
Oversee development processes subject to strict regulatory requirements to ensure digital finance products are market-ready and to optimize time to market.
Apply agile and hybrid frameworks, including Scrum and SAFe, to improve the software development lifecycle and support the transition toward an AI development lifecycle.
Support organizational transformation of team structures and workflows.
