Product Specialist

OneOncology•Nashville, TN

About The Position

OneOncology is seeking a Product Specialist to join its Enterprise Solutions team as the dedicated product resource for the ServiceNow platform. This hands-on, growth-oriented role combines technical work with product management responsibilities. The specialist supports day-to-day platform operations while leadership sets overall strategy, and may grow into broader product ownership. Prior ServiceNow experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided. The role translates business needs into development stories, acceptance criteria, and workflow recommendations; manages and prioritizes a shared delivery queue across IT, clinical, legal, and practice operations; and maintains documentation, release notes, and stakeholder communications. It also involves troubleshooting, basic platform configuration, light scripting, collaboration with developers and external delivery partners, testing and issue triage, and using AI and large language models to improve efficiency and agile delivery.

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of experience in product support, business analysis, implementation, systems analysis, or a related technical role.
  • Strong product and analytical instincts, including the ability to translate ambiguous business needs into clear stories, acceptance criteria, and requirements.
  • Technical literacy sufficient to work in a platform, troubleshoot, perform basic configuration, and do light scripting; a technical background is preferred.
  • Comfort using AI and large language models as everyday working tools to accelerate documentation, writing, and delivery.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong stakeholder management skills.
  • Highly organized and self-directed, with the ability to own a platform's day-to-day work with minimal oversight.
  • Strong learning ability and motivation to grow into broader product ownership.
  • High school diploma or GED.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • ServiceNow platform experience, including administration, configuration, or product support.
  • Familiarity with Agile delivery, user stories, and backlog management.
  • Exposure to healthcare or other regulated or multi-entity environments.
  • Experience with change management, release governance, or IT compliance concepts.

Responsibilities

  • Own day-to-day operation of the ServiceNow platform and keep work moving through a prioritized delivery queue spanning IT, clinical, legal, and practice operations.
  • Translate business needs into development stories, acceptance criteria, and workflow recommendations.
  • Troubleshoot platform issues, perform basic configuration changes, and handle light scripting as needed.
  • Partner with internal developers and the delivery partner to refine, sequence, and validate work within two-week sprints.
  • Support and coordinate testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and issue triage, owning resolution end to end where appropriate.
  • Use AI and large language models to accelerate delivery, draft and maintain documentation, generate release notes, and improve story quality.
  • Build and maintain platform documentation, release notes, and stakeholder communications.
  • Liaise on technical issues and enhancement requests across stakeholder groups, set expectations, and keep stakeholders aligned.
  • Support backlog refinement and prioritization, making trade-offs transparent to stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities to improve workflows, reduce manual effort, and expand platform capabilities.
  • Support change management, release governance, and CAB discipline consistent with platform compliance requirements.
  • Learn the business and develop platform and product skills toward broader product ownership.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned to help advance the mission of improving the lives of people living with cancer.
