About The Position

The Product Safety Training Intern assists JLG in meeting customer safety training needs. The role supports determining appropriate training content, developing training programs, and delivering or assisting with training. The intern researches training topics and uses common office and specialized software to configure, maintain, and update customer training materials. The position combines office-based administrative work with physical activity in field or production environments. Office tasks may involve extended computer use, sitting, and meetings. Field or floor work may involve walking on varied terrain or shop floors, standing, lifting up to 50 pounds, climbing stairs, and exposure to varying temperatures or noise. The role requires shifting between detailed cognitive work and occasional physical tasks. Reasonable accommodations are available for qualified individuals with disabilities.

Requirements

Currently working toward a bachelor's degree in business, safety, construction management, or a related field.

Nice To Haves

Experience operating and maintaining heavy equipment.
Technical and mechanical aptitude.
Experience and interest in conducting training for a variety of audiences.
Knowledge and experience with JLG-specific machines.
Understanding of access industry standards.
Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

Assist with instruction on equipment operation, including presentation-based and hands-on training for customers across various equipment platforms.
Assist in developing course content.
Participate in course content reviews and pilot courses.
Provide customer feedback on course content.
Assist with updating training materials to keep course materials current.
Research training topics and help configure, maintain, and update customer training materials.
