About The Position

Lakeside Industries, Inc. is hiring a Safety & Risk Management Intern for a 10–12-week summer internship in Issaquah, Washington. The intern will work closely with the Safety Team and gain exposure to occupational health and safety, particularly in the construction and paving industry. The role includes on-site and in-office support, hands-on project work, and interaction with Operations, Human Resources, Environmental, and Quality Control departments.

The company offers hands-on experience with training, risk assessments, and workplace safety, along with mentorship from experienced safety and risk management professionals, competitive hourly pay, and networking and career development opportunities. The pay rate is $23.00–$27.00 per hour, depending on experience, education, and qualifications. Seasonal employees participate in state-run paid sick, medical, and family leave programs and have access to the company-sponsored employee assistance program. Interns working beyond 90 days may have the option to participate in the 401(k) retirement plan.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Construction Management, or a closely related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite tools.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
• Ability to have fun while working hard.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site and in-office support for the Safety and Risk Management Team.
